This beginner chess course is designed for those new to the game and eager to develop their skills. The course introduces fundamental chess principles, including board setup, piece movement, and basic strategies. Students will explore tactical patterns such as forks, pins, and skewers while understanding key endgame principles. Participants will also practice common beginner openings, improve their decision-making skills, and learn to record moves using algebraic notation. I train students for chess, in which I hold a rating of 2200. With over 19 years of experience in playing chess, I take live online chess classes.
