About Course

1. "Numbers" chapter. It will have subheadings like Whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication,  division,  decimal numbers, ratios and proportions, factors, LCM & HCF, comparison, ascending & descending order, squares and cubes of numbers.

2. Geometry: Angles, triangles, square, rectangle, simple 2D shapes. Simple 3D shapes cube, cuboid, prism, pyramid, edges, vertices, faces, sphere, cylinder, cone.

3. Mensuration 2D: perimeter, area. 3D: surface area, volume. Practical examples.

4. Data collection, presentation, bar chart, minimum, maximum, average.

5. Probability, event, sample space, tossing the coin, throwing the dice.

6. Algebra: patterns, variables, constants, expression, equation, inequality, solving simple one variable linear equation.

7. Commercial Mathematics: currency conversation,  percentage, direct proportions, profit and loss, clock, time, speed distance.

8. Any other topics as required or as per request by student/ parents/ school for Grade 6th.

There will be exercises for each topic. Periodic tests and assignments will also be carried out.
